Game Space: Rules & Reservations

Please Note: Due to COVID, all in-store gaming is currently suspended. We will update when it is safe to make changes.

We have two standing game tables available for free play, as long as they aren’t reserved for other use.

Standard reserved times include Monday night from 6 PM – 9 PM (Heroclix), Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night from 6 PM – 9 PM (D&D Adventurers League), and Friday night from 6 PM – 10 PM (Magic The Gathering). There are also quarterly events like our Magic prereleases, irregular events like Free Comic Book Day, Free RPG Day, D&D 101 events, and more. It’s best to call and double-check before assuming tables will be free.

Game Table Reservations:

The tables are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, you can also reserve the tables up to a month in advance, just give us a call or email to reserve the space.

Organized Play:

We support organized play for Heroclix, Dungeons & Dragons and Magic the Gathering at present.

We are happy to support more organized play if there is an interest, and can order organized play kits if you have a group that is interested in purchasing them for use at the store. If we can get a big enough group for organized play, Rogues Gallery will provide organized play kits and prizes, although we will at that point ask that anyone be allowed to play in tournaments.

In-Store Gaming Rules:

1. We’re a family store – please keep cursing/swearing to a minimum – even if a red dragon just ate your favorite character.

2. Keep other shoppers in mind when you’re playing – We want you to enjoy yourself, but make sure and keep shopping aisles clear and keep the noise level reasonable.

3. Food is allowed (within reason), we just ask you to be careful not to spill on the product, tables, other gamers, etc.

4.We expect everyone to be a courteous winner and a gracious loser, especially if you’re playing with strangers. A little friendly banter is fine, but smack talk and whining will not be tolerated.

5. Showing up a little early is encouraged. It’s important that our staff is able to close up on time and get home, so we try not to run gaming late if possible.

6. Clean up after yourself. Trash cans are in the bathroom and up at the counter.

Staffers’ and DMs’ decisions are final.  If you have an issue, feel free to email or call the management, but arguing with the staff or DM at the time is not acceptable.

Breaking these rules can result in a warning, a temporary suspension of table privileges, or a ban on future use of game tables, at the discretion of management.

P.S. We’d like to ask that folks not use the tables for sitting and reading, to keep them available for use in playing board, card, and role-playing games.

Game Library:

We have a well-stocked game library! You are welcome to use it anytime the tables are free!
