Free RPG Day will be on Saturday, June 22nd! We will have offerings from Hitpoint Press, Magpie Games, Renegade Games, Marvel Multiverse, 9th Level Games, R. Talsorian Games, Kobold Press, Paizo, Free League, and more!
We’ll be giving out games on a first-come, first-serve basis, and folks are welcome to pick up to three offerings from the tables!
Free Comic Book Day returns in May 2024!
Come on in starting at 11 AM and take your pick from our tables! We’ll have them arranged by all-ages, teen and up, and mature readers, and we’ll have selections not just from this year but from previous years! We expect everyone to be able to get a few extra comics this year, but as always, the best selection will be early on, and we can’t guarantee any particular books as the day wears on!
Offerings this year include Encanto, Energon Universe, Stranger Things, Jonny Quest, Pokemon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Spider-Man, Conan the Barbarian, Doctor Who, Malificent, Snoopy, Star Wars, and more! You’ll find the full list at https://www.freecomicbookday.com/catalog

Please join us on Tuesday, February 27th for Pokémon Day! Kids 16 and under will receive a treat bag full of Pokémon goodies when they come in and “catch” a Pokémon in-store! We will also have an arts and crafts table set up so our Super Kids can design their own Pokémon AND we are an official Pokémon Go gym

In addition to clearing out some graphic novels and boardgames as usual, this year we are clearing the remainder of our demo library! Which means there are some really great games for really great prices. They’re previously open and sometimes used, but we made sure to look through and make sure that everything was intact. We can’t 100% promise that every piece of cardboard is in there, but we checked each box carefully before putting it up for sale.
As usual, every item on the tables sports a yellow tag which means it is 75% off the marked price. All sales are final, no returns, exchanges, or holds on inventory items, and when they’re gone, they’re gone. Come check out the selection while it’s available!

We will have an after-hours prerelease on Friday, February 2nd from 7 PM-11 PM. We will have room for up to 25 players to come in, build a prerelease deck, and play a three round tournament!
We ask that folks pre-register at the store by coming in, calling, or emailing! On the day, we ask that players start showing up around 6:30 to get everyone set up so that we can start as close to 7 as possible, and if you have the Magic Companion app, that will be very helpful in getting everything sorted.
The entry fee is $35, which will get you a prerelease kit and a chance at various prizes, including limited cards and booster packs! There will be access to a land station for the event (however, we encourage you to bring your own land if you have it, just to make sure there’s enough to go around.)
This is a lock-in event, so only those playing in the tournament will be allowed in the store while it is going on, with breaks between rounds for food or drink.

We will be open from 11 AM – 5 PM on New Year’s Eve (Sunday) and closed on New Year’s Day (Monday)

And then for every $50 you spend, you’ll get one of our fancy new Owlbear gift coins, good for $10 in store!

And we’ll be discounting the massive Tarrasque minis for the season, if you want to get your DM a gift they can use to kill your entire party and possibly game world with. We’ll also have a suggestions list curated by management and staff of good comics- and game-themed gift ideas based on new stuff that came out this year! More to be announced soon!
Boring Rules Stuff:
Just like our paper gift certificates, these have no expiration date, and can be used for anything in the store. They cannot be used on the day of purchase, but can be used as early as Saturday, November 25th.
The amount used to calculate bonus gift certificates is the pre-tax value of merchandise. One coin is given for each full $50, not a fraction thereof. (Within reason – a $49.99 or $49.95 item will get you a coin)
