As part of the 10th anniversary celebration of Ticket to Ride coming up in 2014, we’ll be hosting a Ticket to Ride tournament on Saturday, December 14th!
The tournament will run from 1 PM – 5 PM or until the final round is completed.
There will be two preliminary rounds and then one final round for the four highest-scoring players. We’ll have room for up to 12 players in three separate games, so while we expect room for walk-ins, if you want to be guaranteed a spot, we recommend emailing us to sign up for a spot ahead of time.
The winner of the tournament will win a tournament medal and a full set of translucent plastic trains for Ticket to Ride. Runner-ups in the final round will earn a single color set of translucent plastic trains.
We will be hosting a tournament for Star Trek Attack Wing on Tuesday, December 10th, starting at 6:30 PM and ending around 9 PM, with 3 45 minute rounds. Players will be playing for the Dominion War month 4 prize kit.
The Admiral’s Orders for January (since this kit is technically a December/January kit) are OK to bring to the table. United Force and Strike Force specifically.
100 SP. You may use anything that has been released for purchase already and anything from the month 3 OP kit (or earlier). Anything from the month 4 OP kit are NOT allowed this time.
Also, please note that we will begin promptly @ 6pm. Please have your fleet/sheets ready to go before then so we can start at a timely fashion. If you are not ready, but your opponent is ready, then the person that is ready will be awarded extra points. If we can start on time, then we can up the round time to 50 minutes.
Lastly, we will again have the $5 buy-in or purchase one ship at the store. We have recently gotten in the newest batch of ships including the USS Excelsior, the IKS Koraga, the RIS Vo and the Dominion Koranak. You can call the store early if you want and try and reserve a ship for that night if you want.
Have you heard of DC’s SUPER-PETS? It started as a line of books for very young readers. Spotlighted the adventures of known super-pets like Krypto and Ace the Bat-Hound, but also created an entire world of dozens of superhero (and supervillain) pets.
The books are super-cute, but today we’re specifically extolling the virtues of the DC SUPER-PETS ENCYCLOPEDIA, which just came back into stock! You don’t have to be a kid to love its dozens and dozens of fun entries that give all the big superheroes (and plenty of the small ones) their own super-pets.
D&D Encounters returns on Thursday, November 21st with Legacy of the Crystal Shard!
This first session will be all character-building, with the adventure beginning in two weeks (delayed from our usual weekly game due to Thanksgiving).
You don’t need to have any prior experience with D&D to play, and the only thing you need to bring with you is a pencil, and dice if you have them.
We’ll be using the D&D 3.5 rules for Encounters. At this time, we have only one GM and one table, so room for six players, so we highly encourage calling ahead after we open (at 10 AM) on Thursday to secure your spot.
The game begins at 7 PM, although we encourage folks to show up a little early to get settled in so that the game can begin right at 7.
The people of Icewind Dale have long stood against the perils of the North. For most of these folk, the events that shook the region a hundred years ago are now distantvmemories. But what was defeated was not destroyed. Now, as evil forces converge on Ten Towns, the people of the North face their greatest trial yet. Fortunately, they won’t have to face it alone.
Legacy of the Crystal Shard allows characters to continue to participate in important events connected to the Sundering and glimpse the future of the Forgotten Realms.
